Default Hello from Swansea

Hi guys, the name is James (clue is there) im 22 and originally from Glynneath (In Wales) and now live in Swansea. (at this point, I would only read on if your from Wales, then you would have a better clue what im talking about haha)

Ive fished with my father ever since I can remember him keeping maggots in our fridge as kids when I was about 4 or 5, But ive never been one for course fishing, always on the fly. Ive tackled Lakes like, Cimla, Papermill, Big Fish Shimano, Crynant, Glyncorrwg and so on, all around Neath/Port Talbot/Swansea. Biggest trout ive ever caught is an 8lb 7oz up the Cimla (Abernant Fishery) and have my picture in the Caravan of me trying to hold it in the air at about 8 years old,

I was recently in the Swansea evening post for catching an 8lb and a 7lb 11oz trout in Papermill in Fforestfach, Swansea.

I usually go ever sunday with my father, but due to him moving to Nigeria for work, I guess i shall be venturing out alone soon, for the first time in about 15 years. I have NEVER fly fished in a river, ill admit, but wouldnt mind giving it a go.

So im looking for some buddies to catch up with and maybee hit the lakes and rivers.

Am also into Sea fishing but ill leave that there for now

Cheers guys

James

Welcome to the forum James. Lovely country to fish you live in and would love to do a bit of it myself as I don't live all that far from North Wales. Will look forward to reading your future posts on here.
