Hi,
I have been viewing the forum for a couple of weeks now and as I have just started fly fishing last month I decided it was right I should join in. Hopefully will be able to contribute as well as take in some of the valuable information that is on the forum.

I am from Lancashire and mostly fish Stocks - with some success I am please to say.

I recently took their fly fishing course which is very proffessionally taught and have also spent a few hours at Bank House fishery, for one of the lessons, where I managed to land a 7Lb brownie - superb!

Welcome to the forum and well done on your 7lb brownie. I've been fly fishing for 21 years and my best brownie is 3lb 8oz so your fish was a cracker.

hi there

it true you will get loads of help on here. we look after each other.there are one or two of us who are insane but you,ll be fine its good to see your starting off on a great fish.ive not had one that big yet. i hope to get one soon when i go to a place in the north in august any thing i can help you with its not a problem.just pm me or other members. they,ll help to. watch out for the odd one or two dodgie ones thought nice to here from you

Welcome Dave, 7 pound brownie! Fished more than sixty years with a 29 year break in the middle, but never got anything like that. My p.b a six pound four ounce wild cutthroat trout from a tiny stream in eastern Washington and a run just over eighteen inches deep and did he ever fight! Great forum here so enjoy and let us enjoy your posts, too.
