Thought I'd try and get him interested in something worth while instead of the xbox

He's very keen to go back so that's a bonus.

PM Grommit (trader on the forum) and enquire about a 5/6 reel & line deal. He won't let you down.
Apart from that, have a look through the forum using the search function typing in 'Barrio Fly Lines' and see how highly recommended these lines are (made in Scotland). Here's the web site for the lines. Fishing The Fly In Aberdeenshire, Scotland
At under £20 delivered, these lines are great value and highly recommended.
Tight lines.

Good job I gave the fish to the neighbours then

I though the fly fishing pond and the two beside it looked alright but your right about the rest, not the best looking.
Was thinking on going to the Lambington area of the Clyde next weekend, is this a decent beat to try?
Already had Mike's site bookmarked and was thinking on buying the GT90 line, from what I've read it's a pretty good line for the money. I'll certainly give him a buzz after the 11th to see what he can do for me as I'm heading to Skye for some landscape photography in 2 weeks, so I'll get some fishing done after sunrise

Thanks all for the warm welcome, appreciated.
