Hi and Welcome to the forum. best place to start even before getting a Rod is to get yourself a couple of hours tuition off a qualified Instructor he will show you the ropes probably have a few rods to try out and a good knowledge of the local area

This should help

Hi Troutkeeper

I run a private fishery at Barley near Burnley. If you like I will take you fishing FOC on my reservoir and give you a few pointers.Tackle isn't a problem I've enough for a fishing team.

Send me a personal message through the Forum if you wish to take me up on my offer.
