Default hi from north wales

Hi everyone

iv just got into fly fishing properly now.
used to go with my dad when i was younger (24 now)
but now iv really got into it.

last bank holiday monday me and my dad after weeks of practising my cast, went to a lake to show me in more depth.

well we stayed there for 6 hours and i had a great time and caught these two trout with a Dry fly (one my dad made to look like a daddy longlegs)

well to say the least i have fallen in love with the sport and with my house only across the field from the river dee outside of Llangollen.. as soon as my permit is sorted to the right club who owns the water i can confidently say i will be there alot

Jack

P.S the fish was delish !

Hi Jack, welcome to the Forum.

Hope you get your permit sorted quickly, remember the Dee is famous for her grayling and nowhere better than Llangollen for the lady of the stream.

ps. They are tasty too, better after a few hard frosts, although I never take more than a couple per season.

Hi Jack

Welcome to the Forum. Plenty of help on here. Glad to see you had a good day. We are lucky enough to live in an area with loads of great Trout fishing with great Rivers and lakes. The Welsh Dee grayling are awsome.
That looks a great Sink for cleaning your trout maybe i`ll get the wife one of them

Never fished that stretch myself but I think its either Midland or Mold FlyFishers and possibly Corwen may have a small stretch
