Talking Hello from Mexico City

Hi I am a young man studying biomedical engineering, and my favorite hobby is fly fishing and fly tying, with all the constraints connected with my age and position in the world (there are many problems finding a good place to fish, which is a safe place with good catches).

Although there is always a good place to fish, and I want to thank you in advance for what I will learn from you, as the information is very low in these parts of the third world.

Welcome on board! What type of fish are you targeting? I know that there is trout in the mountains, bass in the lakes and some fantastic salt water fishing but what other freshwater species do you fish for?

Take care

Terry

first of all thank you very much for your warm welcome, and if I'm sure it finds it addictive.

and what I fish is just what you mention in that order, just add between the bass and salt water, the panfish (blue gills and tilapia)

And what I'm looking to still not give me is a good carp

I do miss the bluegills although up in New England we use to call them Rock bass. Lots of fun on light equipment and tasted great early in the season.

+1 to Eddies recommendation as its the North American version of this Fora. Besides the normal sections you'd expect to find there's also a healthy regional break down. This really helps as specific area information doesn't get 'lost' in the shuffle on page three or four of postings.

I may be wrong, but I think your our first poster from your fair Country.
