Default A Kildare Hello

Hello Folks, My names is Al,
I have just gotten back into fiishing in the last two years. Last season was my 1st time fly fishing in 15yrs , I am sticking to the river Liffey which is a cracking river and well worth a visit, and using wet flies . I caught some great brown trout last year and hope to get out and do some dry fly fishing this year. Wow the price of fishing tackle has gone up a fair bit and there are flies and ways of tying them that astound me ?? i remember shops lik ABC in the veg market , Garnet and Keegans and Watts, and had some great days fishing on lough Deraveragh and dapping on shelin, So i am really looking forward to getting as much advice from yourselves, and most of the posts I have read have been great. I take it that you have to earn the right to post and view some threads?
tight lines folks
Alan.

Welcome to the form Alan. There are a few other Liffey regulars on here. be sure to give the dries a go. Much more fun than the wets on rivers in my opinion...

All the best
JJ

Add a warm welcome from 8 time zones to the West.

Interesting comment though: "I take it that you have to earn the right to post and view some threads?"

Can anyone expand on Al's question/comment?
