Default Finally Hooked

Hello all.

I've always loved fly fishing. I just never really did it much. I am hoping to change the latter.

It's another way to heighten my enjoyment of the outdoors and another set of skills to try to master. I am looking forward to learning from you folks.

Right. First off you need several rods graded in line weight, length, colour, shiny/matt, new/2nd hand; say about 12 just in case. Then you need at least two reels to suit each of these rods. Each reel should have a minimum of three spools loaded with floaters (not Airflow), inters and sinkers; again just in case. Then you need a couple of wallets to hold your leaders, furled/tapered/home made. Then you need a couple of decent sized fly boxes for each type of fly/lure. Then you need a couple of day boxes for the flies you are going to use that particular day. Then of course you get to bags; a decent sized one to hold your bankside stuff, one you can wear while fishing (nice little over the shoulder thing, Hardys do a corker in buff), and one for your clarty gear afterwards. Speaking of gear............yep, you'll learn a lot from here!
