Hi all,
Ive been on the forum for a few weeks now and realised I hadnt introduced myself. Sorry to be rude, Im just forgetful.
Ive recently started fly fishing after a few years coars and sea fishing. Primarily because Im fed up with carting masses of equipment around with me and giving me a backache.
Im in Swansea and would welcome any advice on locations to fish locally. Im finding it hard to obtain info on the Tawe club prices if anyone could help out ?
Ive learned so much from this forum already and hope to contribute some if I can.
Many thanks all.
Kay.

Default fishing

Ive fished the USK reservoir and the Tawe so far. Ust was a little too busy for me and to be fair it is a mixed water, so the wormers were getting all the bites the day I was there.
Faired a bit better on the Tawe, less busy and more relaxing and almost get a brownie. Will be fishing here more regularly as well because its also very much cheapeer. To be honest Im just starting so I need all the practice without the costs. May move up to a more expensive water when Im more experienced.
Also thanks to everyone for thier advice over the last few weeks. Brilliant.

Hi Kay,

Welcome to the forum! The obvious choice for you would be the rivers close to home such as the Tawe and the Teifi, then there's the Neath and Glyn-Neath clubs (Glyn-Neath stock their stretch) Also some club and day ticket water at Llandovery; and just a bit further there's the River Usk, Two clubs with open access to joining at Brecon town waters. Then there's the MTAA they have lots of water on offer, River Stream and Reservoirs. You may find what your looking for with the WUF? The Wye and Usk Foundation | River Conservation & Fishing

Hope this helps you find some fishing that suits you!

Regards

Mostyn
