Default Hello

Hi to all,
I'm David Henderson, GAIA Instructor, Trout & Salmon disciplines, also fly tier, been fishing since I could walk and am now 63 so just getting started, living in North Yorkshire although originally from Aberdeenshire. I have to admit that my flies don't usually conform to any standard patterns but I get my fair share of fish so I will share some of the ones I use on the fly-tying threads. Very pleased to have found you all - there's a lot of sense in what's posted on these pages, which shows there's a lot of experience out there and a lot of angling wisdom too. Keep up the good work - especially advice to the beginners, we need to beef up the numbers to hold our own against the antis.

Default Hello and Welcome, David

Nice to see another angler closer to my age on here. I also love tying flies, but haven't had the opportunity to try for salmon yet-or anything else at the moment as I can't get out much to fish despie the fact I'm now retired with lots of time on my hands. Look forward to seeing your future posts.

i'm not sure taking sides is the best tactic, demonstrating where anglers attitudes can help by understanding and caring for the environment may leave people more open to seeing a different point of view.
