Hi all, joined the site a few months ago but this is my first post.

Got my first fly rod about 10 years ago when I was much younger and never got much into it. Now I am fishing a lot more in my local area of Stirlingshire, Swanswater mostly but my local river is the old Forth at Aberfoyle. Just getting back up to speed with casting at the moment but hopefully out on the river more often soon

Anyone else from Stirling(ish) on here?

Hi Steve,
I was born and raised in Stirlingshire and fished all over it from tiny burns to the bigger lochs. Swanswater is a favourite, more for convenience than anything but the fishing here can be outstanding. Wee buzzers and dry flies are my preferred method and it is very well managed.
We used to see salmon and sea trout in the old forth a few miles up from Stirling and caught a few as well.
