Smile Hello To All

American born I've lived in england nearly forty years now-the last nine here in Altrincham, Cheshire. Though introduced to fly-fishing back in the 1950s I didn't teach myself to tie flies till 1959 creating something using a much too big hook and pheasant feathers. I've no idea what the fish thought they were, but they destroyed them as fast as I could tie them. Didn't fish for trout till the 1960s in Washington state and I was hooked though I was away from the sport from 1979-2007. Only problem now is that I love fly fishing, but can't get out. I don't drive and my wife's being disabled means she can't take me out to local stillwaters. Any kind like-minded souls who wouldn't mind some company like a fishing partner please let me know? Catching or not isn't really all that important-it's getting out in the fresh air that's most importatnt and Doing It rather than sitting around! The Last time I was fishing was last June on Banks Lake, eastern Washington. If anyone Can help please e-mail me at "bydthiel07@yahoo.co.uk"? Thanks and "Tight Lines"

Hi Flytier, wow you started a long time ago, despite your nearly 30yr break you must have a wealth of knowledge.
Im new to the forum as well and new to fly fishing relatively (starting my 4th season) and just embarking on flytying.
From what I've seen the people on here are all very willing to help out fellow fly fishers in any way they can. Im sure someone local will oblige you with a lift to a nearby water.

All the best.
Tony
