Default Hello

Hi there, I'm a new member and my local river is the Clyde. Relatively new to salmon fishing, this year being my second full season, also a keen pike fisherman. I found this site through word of mouth from another forum I use, riverclydefishing.com

Hello Roberto,

welcome to the forum. Being new too and starting salmon fishing I guess we'll bump into each other on threads with a mutual interest...

Kind regards,
Johan

Do you fish for pike on the fly?

Hey Bill

I'm have to admit its not a method I have used as yet. There are a few chaps at my local fly tying club who are tying pike flies at the moment. I will be joining them this season when the mercury rises a tad

Have you had much success with the fly?

Not much, I've just started out on pike with the fly - checking out waters, but got checked by the freeze up. I've tied up quite a lot of pike flies - good fun and a pleasant change from trying to get my pudgy fingers around a size 18

Do you know the Pike Fly Fishing Ass ? worth checking out if you don't.
