Default Just got back into fly fishing

Hello folks
My name is Jerry, I live in SW London. I used to fish all the time as a youngster when I grew up in the north east (always looking for trout).
I have just started back this last couple of months (kids have grown) , work doesnt monopolise as much.
I have recently had a great time fishing the stocked small stillwaters of sussex and hants.
Next year I fancy the bigger reservoirs (I think Bewl is closest) and some river fishing, which seems expensive and hard to find an opening, but patience is supposedly a virtue (and I need to do some homework).
So I shall soon be firing a few questions.
In fact, to kick off, How much trout can you eat? I recently fished a well known stalking fishery where a fellow had caught 4 fish over 10lbs, I caught rather less, but am still struggling to get through them.
Regards
Jerry

Hi Jerry welcome back and welcome to the forum.
Perhaps the chap you met has a big freezer, but 40 lbs of trout does seem a bit excessive.
I return all wild fish, and just keep the odd stockie, but my wife still complains, can't win.
Enjoy the forum.
S.
