We are pleased to introduce an exciting new trip to County Kerry, Ireland that will combine opportunites to fish for salmon, sea trout, bass and pollock all during the week July 4th-11th and within the same river/estaury system.
July sees the the prime run of Grilse up the lower Caragh river and this week we have access for 5 rods to the lower 3 miles of the river Caragh from the Lough outlet to the Caragh estuary. Having fished the river for spring salmon earlier this month it is an exciting prospect to fish the more prolific grilse run.
For those interested the Caragh estuary also offers miles of wadeable sand flats that are home to a very healthy bass and sea trout population. For those who would like to try saltwater fly fishing for bass then this is a great location with excellent deep water access and large sandflats.
We will also have limited rod access (1-2rods) to the lower Caragh river for night sea trout fishing as well.
Accommodation will be in the self catering Caragh View House which is ideally located within a short drive of both the river and estuary and has stunning views over the estuary. Flights are a short 1 hour hop with Ryan Air and depart Stanstead airport.
