Default Czech trip fly patterns

Can you supply some recommendations for fly patterns for this trip?

Just back from a real nice trip, company was great, fishing was Fab with some real nice Rainbows being caught this time also by one very tall and hungry person

Food was fantastic as usual and overall a very enjoyable trip, we also had a special guest in the name of Martin Droz who is the curent World Champion and an awesome fisherman, he caught many nice fish also on the day he fished with us.

I will be looking at dates for October/September Time and I am taking names now if you are intrested then please drop me a text message or and e-mail. I will post some pictures later and in my October/Sept Trip Martin Droz will be joining us for a days fishing again.

NB this is not a masterclass as Martin is coming to fish with us for a day and then have dinner with us, he is a very Humble angler and has talent oozing from every pore, 2 Team Golds, An Individual Gold and Bronze and all he wants to do is fish. Well worth watching him for the day.

Spaces wil be limited and I will forward all details to anyone intrested.

rgds..Dave

Hi Dave,

I have only just spotted this post.

First of all, I am not tall, I am average and everyone else is little.
I have a health appetite for an average person which is obviously greater than a little person’s appetite. It would also be rude not to show appreciation for all of the delicious food we were offered.

Seriously, it was an excellent week, good guide, good food (and drink), good accommodation and good fishing. Meeting Martin Droz was a bonus.

Here is a link to some picture from the trip.

Hi Stewart,
Good to hear from you.

I found some hooks that are very similar to the ones Martin Droz uses on that nymph he gave Micheal. Its a TMC 921

Hows these.

I got a 10' 3/4 weight from my mate and have been raising a few eyebrows fishing in water and conditions I would normally not bother with. They raised a bit higher when I also caught fish. No where near as many as on the Czech trip but still better than I would have done with my normal techniques.

I am thinking of buying a new chest pouch/haversack. the one you were using looks like it would fit the bill. What make/model is it?
