7 Days of Fishing for 6 Anglers:
You will have three boats. Two anglers per boat. You will have plenty of time to experience all of
the fishing grounds: flats, mangrove channels, mangrove banks, open water, and reef, if
interested.
Each day will be a full day of fishing – 8 hours. A typical day is 8AM – 4PM. You will be picked up
at the dock in front of your hotel. The guide will provide lunch and water.
A typical boat is a local Mexican ponga flats boat with a 50 HP engine, and a casting platform.
Your guides will do plenty of poling.
The typical sport fish that you will hunt are bonefish, tarpon, permit, and snook. You may also fish
for barracuda, jacks, and a variety of other fish.
Things you will want to bring with you on the boat: sun protection including sunscreen, a hat, a
long sleeve shirt and pants; polarized sunglasses are extremely important; and gear
8 Hotel Nights
Your hotel is full of beautiful Caye Caulker ambience: it is located right on the beach, has a
swimming pool, a palapa bar, and includes the following amenities: daily maid service,
refrigerator, coffee maker, ceiling fan, private bath, air conditioning, and cable TV. The hotel is
centrally located.
The rooms open to a porch with hammocks and a courtyard with sea view. You will be booked two anglers per room; each room has two double beds.
Transportation
The package includes transportation from Goldson International Airport to your hotel: you will fly
from Goldson to Caye Caulker (and see a beautiful aerial view of the grounds that you will fish); a
golf cart taxi will pick you up from the airport and bring you to your hotel. You will return to Goldson
via the same transportation.
During your stay on Caye Caulker, you will have your own bicycle – the primary form of
transportation on the island. The riding is easy on the flat, sandy, streets.
Meals
The package includes 7 days of lunches and 4 nights of dinners. A typical lunch may be chicken
fingers, a fish burger, or a ham and cheese sandwich, with a side such as potato salad or
coleslaw, fresh fruit, and water. We have included dinners at our favorite restaurants for four
nights. These dinners will provide a good introduction to the island’s best dishes, and then you will
have four nights to choose for yourself. We will provide recommendations where you can get
breakfast on your own.
Massage
And just to ensure full relaxation on vacation, we have included a one-hour massage with highly
talented massage therapists. This treat has been such a hit with the fisherman we have hosted,
that we always include it in our packages. And your bones will thank you after a long day fishing.
