Default St Brandon - Mauritius - Fishermen needed!

Hi all,

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who has a charter booked to fish St Brandon between the 28th of October and the 7th of November 2010.

He needs 4 fishermen to make up the group. Costs are 3000 Euro per person excluding flights but including all meals and drinks except spirits.

If you like your flats fishing I would really reccommend this. I went earlier this year and despite a week of bad weather (25-35kts) we caught an average of 8 bonefish per angler per day between 7 and 10lbs with shots at fish up to around 15lb. There were times where the fish were swimming between our legs, they were so tame you could roll cast to them. At one point we got bored of casting to a shoal of 5000 bones as we were catching them like stockies.

There are also big GTs on the flats 120cm plus and pompano as well as lots of bluefins, greenspot and golden trevalleys. In the gaps between the flats there are rainbow runners, jobfish, bonito and various other reef dwellers.

This is an amazing destination and this trip cost is around half that of other operators so if you can I would go. Most flats at St Brandon have never been waded or seen a fly.

PM me if you want details or references and I'll give you my number to have a chat.

Cheers

David

Not sure if the images will work or if you can see them as I took them from my Facebook page but there's a scenic shot, one of an average bonefish, a pic of the shoal of bones (LOTS of them!) and an underwater one to show how close they come to you.
