Default Saltwater

Does anyone know of reasonable accomodation rates on the Bahamas? I´m desparate to have some hot sand under the feet. I might be going to Los R in stead feb march on a DIY basis.

Default try this place

re accomodation in Bahamas, try this link

<a href="http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p269928">Grand Bahama vacation cottage</a>

This beachfront property at High Rock Grand Bahama has bonefish right on its doorstep. Although it does not have flats the bones run right along the beach and can be caught especially in the evening by walking and blind casting.

The accomodation is not too far from Macleans Town (about twenty-twenty five minutes drive) in the East End where the bonefishing is nothing short of superb. The accomodation is advertised as $95 to $110 per night or $600 per week.

As you can see from the shots the location is ideal, it is clean and tidy and sleeps up to six with all mod cons.

You can check up for availability on the site or ring Sandra Miller on 001 242 351 8788 who manages the property.

For further info on bone fishing see my other post 'Look no further' on the saltwater forum thread 'Where in the Bahamas?'

Good luck,

Gotcha.

Default How much

Looks idyllic Gotcha, first question how much are the flights, I'm guessing you have to go via America. Second how much is car hire and last but not least whats the cost of eating/drinking out like, thanks in advance Paul

Flight cost vary according to time of the year I recently flew with Virgin (Virgin sale) for a two week trip £235-00 always if you can avoid school holidays. Flights from Manchester nearer to home American Airlines or US Air can be similar.

Flights from Miami to Freeport Grand Bahama if booked in UK £180-00 TO £210 but if booked in USA same but in dollars. If you know anyone out there get them to book it for you.

Food prices in Bahamas more or less same as USA. Eating out three course evening meal bank on $15 to $20 for something half decent.

To reduce cost try eating at the native fish bars, the food can be stunning. Local beer Kalik very good at $3 per bottle.

Car Hire $30 per day.
Petrol just gone up from $4 to $4-50 per GALLON!!! Tragic

Drive around all day its almost free.

Hope this helps.

P.S Yespsb sent you PM.
