Default New Zealand 2009

Now is a great time to start planning a trip to New Zealand for 08/09 season. Flights down from the UK are cheapest at this time of year so it pays to get in early. We have only 2 places left on our hosted trips between mid Jan/mid Feb. Details are below. For those planning on going with a group of fishing friends or a touring holiday with family we can tailor a special package to ensure you see the best fishing New Zealand has to offer.

Week 1. Southland
Date: 18th-25th January, 2009
Based in Lumsden this week will see you fishing the famous Mataura river and tributries providing some of the best brown trout fishing in the world.
Cost: £800 p.p
Includes: 2 days guided fishing, 4 days hosted, 7 nights accommodation, all meals, all on ground transport
Excludes: International and domestic flights, gratuities, fishing license and beverages.

Week 2. High Country
Date: 26th-1st February, 2009
Based in the McKenzie district this week will take advantage of the dry fly fishing available on the high country rivers, lakes and spring creeks. Brown and rainbow trout are present throughout this region.
Cost: £800 p.p
Includes: 2 days guided fishing, 4 days hosted, 7 nights accommodation, all meals, all on ground transport
Excludes: International and domestic flights, gratuities, fishing license and beverages.

Week 3. North Canterbury Backcountry
Date: 2nd-8th February, 2009
This week will involve a camp out in the backcountry wilderness of North Canterbury. This week should see some exceptional dry fly fishing with big cicada patterns.
Cost: £800 p.p
Includes: 2 days guided fishing, 4 days hosted, 7 nights accommodation, all meals, all on ground transport
Excludes: International and domestic flights, gratuities, fishing license and beverages.

Week 4. Murchison
Fishing this world famous brown trout region Mid-February sees excellent surface action with cicadas.
Cost: £800 p.p

Very much hoping that we will be over there in March next year-albeit a touring holiday doing both north and south islands.Wifey has given me permission for the odd dabble here and there but it will alas only be the odd dabbleLooking now at some places,b and b's etc that are close to the lakes and streams,closer the better

Know some great B&B's right on several good quality brown trout streams. Ideal for an early morning fish before the better half wakes up. Feel free to give us a call if you want some advice.

For anyone interested in these trips I have 2 spaces left on weeks 1 & 2. Week 3 is full and 2 spaces left on week 4.
