This forum is intended as a serious debate about the Angling Trust the new single organisation to represent all game, coarse and sea anglers in England with a view to raising awareness about the various issues and hopefully coming to some constructive conclusions.
This forum is to help important national research about angling. The 'Social and Community Benefits of Angling' project is funded by the Big Lottery, undertaken by Substance, and runs until 2011 (see www.anglingresearch.org.uk). The forum will provide a means for anglers to get involved and express their views to this project.
This subforum is to assist one part of the national research project which is focused on Assynt, Sutherland. Assynt is a famous destination for fly fishing anglers in the North West Highlands of Scotland and the project seeks to understand more about the benefits angling can bring to rural communities (see www.assynt.anglingresearch.org.uk).
