Hi Folks
Have been lurking in the background here for a little while now, and felt time to take the plunge.
Had some casting lessons earlier in the year, and caught a 5 lb rainbow in second session !
Now hooked, line and sinker, or should that be leader and wet !!
Then a case of getting my hands on some kit, which I've been able to recently, but as usual with everything that's out there, totally confused by which polaroids to get.
I know they're useful, but when you see this as a write up -
POLARISED lenses are the only lenses in the world than can aid visibility in any marine environment. This will aid any one who spends a lot of time near water, be it a fisherman, yachter or nature enthusiast.
BROWN LENS are best for overcast or cloudy conditions. Because brown is a very high contrast colour it will highlight visual acuity especially when the ambient light is fading. It is an extremely popular choice abroad.
GREY LENS are best for sunnier days as it transmits all colours evenly. Grey will transmit all colours of the spectrum and enhances colour relationships, so there is little distortion.
GREEN LENS are best for hazy days or middle light conditions. Not ideal for low light or bright light. A very common colour of lens for UK Trout or Carp fisherman.
I feel I've got no chance if I want to buy one pair to suit most of the conditions we'll encounter !!
Any suggestions gratefully accepted
Stuart
