Default Bank fishing at Grafham

Hi, can anyone that has been bank fishing at Grafham in the past week or two let me know if it is worth a trip there this week and if so any tips to offer?

Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,

I don't know how it's fishing from the bank particularly, although The Seat is probably well worth a go.

Be aware that there are additional restrictions in force for bank anglers due to the 'Killer Shrimp' problem.

Bank anglers are restricted to fishing between certain hours (not sure what they are off the top of my head), must sign in at the Lodge before commencing fishing and must report back to the Lodge to be 'Hosed Down' before departure.

Oo-er...

Graham

There were bank anglers around the G Buoy area catching last time I was there and the following day with a gale blowing in there we were catching where a bank angler would have stood, so worth a visit there providing there is cloud cover, I would have thought.

I fished Bewl on Saturday... although quite a way from Grafham... the bank anglers I saw seemed to be doing very well... bearing in mind its only 60% full. Worth a go if you dont fancy being hosed down.

Thanks for the replys fellas. Had a trip to Grafham today, very enjoyable but not alot doing from the bank. I got one fish from in front of the lodge then moved down to Gaynes Cove for the afternoon but nothing to get excited about there sadly. As you said Charlie, a bit more cloud cover might have been useful.

More disappointingly though, no young ladies available to hose me down of the infamous killer shrimp
