Smile Rutland South Arm

I am planning to fish Rutland tomorrow and would plan to fish the south arm.It seems to be out of favour and wondered if anyone has any info.I normally fish on the drift and used to fish at the top of the south arm last year but there is no mention of any results this year
Thanks
David

i was there thurs - sat last week. the top of the south was VERY coloured. There were quite a few fish in manton though.......worth a look....ask the wardens before you head down there. Alot of fish in the yellowstone area if you don't get down the south.......

Get on the middle of the area outside the Sailing club or try between O and N buoys.

Fish are near the top.

Big Fry Feeders are definately off Whitwell, Mouth of Whitwell, & Ernies Point...

A fish est 8lb was played and lost there on Monday, along with quite a few 5lb's landed.

Get your minkies, minky boobies, and diawls at the ready....

Smile Result

Good wind from the west, with a nice ripple just right for drifting, unfortunately the fish were not feeding between sailing club and Yellowstone .tried a number of drifts and depths, not a touch.Moved to the top of the south arm with a few fish showing, finally conected 3lb on washing line,it took the booby.! more fish and moved into main basin.Lots of activity on the boils another 6 on a cruncher.
Thanks for all the advice, hoppers are starting to catch fish
