I wonder if anyone else who has bought the new boat seat is as disappointed as me? I believe there is a serious design fault with it, given that the actual seat itelf is set right in the middle of the frame, unlike all other boat seats I have seen which have the seat offset toward the rear of the frame, giving the angler plenty of leg room.

I have only used it so far on the boats on one fishing venue where the boats tend to be a bit on the small side. However I do think that this will be a problem especially for those anglers who have longer legs as they may find themselves with an uncomfortable seating position. The other problem I've foung is that the seat is prone to slipping as I feel the thwart support pegs are too short. This could pose a problem in a big wave.

I have spoken with Fishtec who seemed completely unaware that the new seat differs significantly from the old one. Anyway anyone looking to buy one shoudl be aware of these issues.

Meantime I would appreciate the thoughts/ impressions of other buyers of this seat.
