This is my first post on this site.
Having just returned from holiday in southern England. Whilst touring around I was amazed at the Rivers and Chalk streams that I found. Never seen such clear water and on quite a few occasions saw brown trout and other species.
I have always wanted to take up fishing but never for some reason got round to doing it. Now I wish to take up Fly fishing I like the idea of just a rod reel and a box of flies and must admit that carting a box chair keep net tent etc doesn't really appeal to me. I'm therefore looking for advice in finding someone whom can teach me to cast and impart good advice. I live in Warrington Cheshire and would welcome any advice that members can give me.

You should get plenty of helpful advice on the Tuition front on here; I know Chris68 on the forum gives tuition in the N/W area.
As for the comments about a rod line and box of flies your spot on. I came back to Fly Fishing a couple of years ago after spending a good 10 years after Mud Pigs (Carp) were you seem to spend more time getting ready to go than actually catching, Nowadays I just grab my Rod Reel and Waistcoat and can be on the River catching 20 mins after finishing work
