Default A walk on the wildside. Name the stillwaters?

I went for a wonderful walk yesterday in the hazy sunshine and could see two stillwaters on my way. (shown below).

Can you name them? (just for fun!)

....and what was my route i.e. where did I walk to?

Burnhope and Cow Green. Just guessing, I'm sure Julia Bradbury walked past one on her featured programme recently, but I wasn't paying attention.

Blencarn and the Big Cow - looking both directions off the top of Cross Fell? Is the Moor House in the left mid distance of the second photo?

Quite right! Well done.

A. Blencarn, Eden valley
B. Cow Green, Tees Valley

Route: Kirkland to Cross Fell summit. My knees are still aching. Superb walk though - Magnificent 360 views from the highest point in the Pennines. Though it was hazy and not the best I've seen it.

You could well be right about Moor House, though I had heard that it had been demolished? I visited many years ago when it was an active (and extremely remote) research centre. Next time I’m up at the source of the South Tyne I’ll pop over the hill to see whether it is standing or not.
