Default sending a rod

Anyone had any experience of sending a rod with rod tube through the post. any info would be much apprciated.

short tubes the Post office ,,,, Or any tubes parcelforce 48 hrs , good service...

Yeah, sent loads. I only use the post office and maybe there are better prices elsewhere. For me the p/o is the most convenient.

If it's under a metre in length it's cheaper...about 4-5 quid. Over that size it has to go Parcelforce (still sent from post office) and costs 6-8 quid. Most things seem to arrive in 3 days or less. If sending abroad make sure you find out the price first, can be expensive, like 25.00 +. If you ask they have a leaflet explaining all charges. Hth.

I can recommend Interparcel They are agents for all the main private couriers. They offer great service. Book online and they pick up from your address. The UPS economy service is a good deal. Most packages we send get there next day.

Like David i use Interparcel mainly.
If its sub 9ft 4 piece then i send special delivery by Royalmail.

I sent a Hardy Smuggler via Parcelforce & it "disappeared" and was never seen again. I had all sorts of trouble claiming compensation before they finally coughed. Personally I'd NEVER use Parcelforce again . . . .
