looks like a posh name for a syndicate water, its a shame they dont sell day tickets as I would love to give it a try being essex-billericay based, it looks real nice, but havent yet heard any reports about it.........I notice you fish hanningfield, do you fancy sharing a boat one day as my dad is not too keen on boats anymore........let me know???

Looks a very nice set up,bit pricey though.

Why not try one of their "suck it and see" day tickets?

Sure. I do a lot of my fishing with my father-in-law but there are weekends when he can't make it so I'm up for sharing a boat.

I've only been fishing for a couple of seasons so I'm not that great a fisherman, yet........

Welcome Page

Look up Great Leighs just south of Braintree or north of Chelmsford on the A131

I know of it, as I know the area. It is between Felstead and Braintree if that helps.

leez lakes - Google Maps

Should be peaceful out there and I don't think it is anywhere near Stansted Airport flight paths.

last week I booked up a "suck it and see" day and thought I would let you know how me & dads got on at essex fly fishers club on sunday just gone.......the lakes are as good as I was expecting, two 15 acre lakes with plenty of room for casting, the place is very well kept I must say, one lake is a bit lower than the other, as its also used for farmland irrigation, the water in both was very clear, we only fished the deepest lake, its about 6 foot deep one side and 20 foot on the other side, there was plenty of fish about, both me and dad caught our bag limit of 4 fish each, all fully tailed nice rainbows of about 1-2 Lb, but we saw much bigger for sure, nice lodge with tea & coffee making facilities, 2 sets of toilets and 2 car parks, and the treasurer showed us around in order to get started.......the trial day cost £30, both me and dad have now joined up for the remainder of the year (end dec) for another £93.........I think they said they currently have 80 rods, but have room for about 130, so room for more.
