Default reel seat removel ?

I need to put a new cork handle on one of my rods,is this possible by removing the reel seat,and if so whats the best method to remove it.I have never done this so any ideas welcome,cheers.

I am no rodbuilder TB, but my understanding is you can do it both ways, reel seat off and replace cork, or take the eye off above and replace cork and re whip the eye and save the reel seat.
The clever chaps on here like Steve Parton, David Norwich, B Bamboo etc will help you better than I.

Hi

The simplist method is to remove rod rings on butt section.
Slip new handle on and replace rod rings.
I am assuming you know method of fixing rod handle in position.

Thanks for the info by the sound of it i think i will take it to someone who knows how, as i have never attempted to repair a rod before, cheers
