Arrow C and F fly boxes

Hi guys,

Had my eyes on this C and F fly box

C&F Slitted Foam Waterproof Case (CF3510F) - Sportfish

In the description it says "with ten pockets for small flies" but above that it says suitable for all types of flies, now i was going to get this for my reservoir box and i have no flies bigger than a size ten would this box be suitable??

sorry for this stupid question just dont want to buy it then find out i cant use it

Thanks

Andy

Mmm...see what you mean confusing to say the least. I have 4-5 CF boxes but non as big as that one. I reckon it will hold 900+ as they say but that's 900 small flies size 14-18 perhaps. Well if you leave a space between each fly it must hold 450 larger ones!!!

I often leave spaces between mine, looks neater and easier to get flies in and out, also simpler for quick identification. So yes I think it would be fine.

I have about a dozen CF products and always have a smile reading the literature that comes with the package. Obviously written in Japan by a man with an English dictionary in one hand.

Andy

I've got that model and it's currently holding a few longshank 10s down to dry 20s. Quality piece of kit.

Cheers

Mike

I'm with Paul on this, I have both upstairs, and blowed if I can see any difference, except £30 more for the name.

Sorry im gonna throw a spanner in the works, dunno if it is bad luck or what but i had the scierra fly box with the lidded compartments on one side and the slit foam on the other after maybe half a season the slit foam started to peel from the backing and caused the little bars of foam to act like a slingshot and throw hooks about in my box lol tryed to reglue it but never took properly so ended up replacing the slit foam side with the ripple foam which i prefer

I'm with Paul and Mr T on this one. I have both C&F version and Platinum tackle version. No discernible difference.

Either would be fine for you. Apart from a few "special jobbies", I have ALL my flies in one now - other is a spare.

That is very expensive for plastic... I paid a third of that for a generic brand and its good quality for the price.
