Got a far out idea of having another go at this water following time spent there a few years ago.

There was a small thread started by Scratch a couple of years ago or so but I haven't seen much about the fishing.

The place had the most glorious mayfly hatch without any movement on the top the last time I went.

Be interested to learn if anything has changed.

I fished this water about 4 years ago, but not on fly. I know there were alot of Perch in the water as I caught loads on worm and by accident one of the Perch I caught, caught me a Pike which grabbed it. I did not get the pike on the bank but got a good look at it and it was 5 or 6lb in weight. I have read the water holds some good trout, its finding them that is the problem. Like Crummock water and Buttermere your going to find that the most predominant species will be Perch, but they can be fun and run to a good size. Hope you get a few trout anyways.
