Default Czech Nymphing - a new approach

I have been studying the technique of "Czech Nymphing" as well as occasionally using the method for several years. I have come to the conclusion that it can be fished far better if you dispense with the fly rod, fly line and other gubbins and instead use the first three sections of a standard pole.

The first three sections of the pole would give you up to 15 feet of excellent coverage and be very light too, much lighter than a 10 foot fly rod previously suggested for the method.

Attached to the top of the pole would be the normal elastic passing through the normal "Stonfo" PTFE guide. Elastic strength would depend on the size of the fish you expect to catch, for example No 6 and 8 for trout to 4 lbs and number 3 or 4 for trout and grayling under 1 lb.

Some of the standard pole floats would make superb "strike indicators".

But what do you think? Are we onto a winner?
