Was quite shocked to read this as i thought two tone was a fairly young fish that was still growing! Shame that 2 of our greatest carp are now dead.

Gutted- no - traumatised that such a noble fish has died. Get over it ? I think I might just scrape through- it is after all only a bloody fish, albeit a very fat one. Which is now an ex fish.Personally I have to say that I have not been left reeling..... I am possibly a bit more concerned about what is happening in Pakistan

R.I.P Give me a break. On a much more serious note, Duncan the trumpet player from the Lurpak Butter advert has melted.

Anyone ever catch him on the fly?? What is the Carp caught on the fly record?

I know that these fish get caught dozens or even hundreds of times, so possibly someone might have taken one og these big ones on the fly?

Personally i think they are unbelievably ugly fish, at least when compared to trout, but thats just me.. Guess i shouldn't speak poorly of the dead.. else i may end up a big fat carp in a future life...

Cheers
JJ

Duncan? OMG! What next?

Yeah! Carp, fattened-up on high protein pellets, are disgusting looking things, and I'll bet, after being dragged 50 times around a lake, he'll be glad he's croaked. R.I.P. Two Tone.

you sure you are on the right forum?

this is, if you havent noticed is a fishing forum and the OP, probably like myself is a past carp angler that understands what a loss this is.

Now if you want to quote troubles look closer to home and maybe not on a fishing forum

I think this is the wrong type of thread to have on a fly forum. Imagine putting fly fishing threads on a carp forum, would probably get treated the same way.
