as an ex serviceman i would hate to think that, casting for heroes is a scam

as it sounds a really good thing and i know there are quite a few members that donated to this charity

Not too sure what this is all about (was the tenkara gear for sale in aid of casting for heroes??) but i remember asking sometime a couple of months back who casting for heroes were - a charity? Rivercoln replied that he was doing this independently....
In the short time i've been using the forum a couple of requests for gear have been advertised that have sounded decidedly dodgy to me (no names mentioned) and a number of genuinely decent people have donated without question. I don't want to appear overly cynical here but maybe requests could be vetted in someway (by admin???). Just a thought - i've no problem with donating to any charitable cause - casting for recovery being one - but don't like to be scammed or see it done to others.

its just a shame it was never followed up.

Just clad he was caught early
