I did have one DCAC member enquire about fly fishing for pike and carp at our Brasside water but I didn't get any feedback. Since the water was 'developed' it has a nice big open causeway where a back-cast wouldn't be a problem. You might get some funny looks from the 'bivvy boys' though

If by angel fishery you mean angel of the north lakes, if so i have telephoned Ann the lady owner and was told NO WAY, NO HOW, as catching carp on a fly rod would actually prolong the pain of the fish, so thats a no no, will try your suggestion of brasside, i assume you mean brasside at durham, forgive my ignorance but i am only recently into fly fishing and have only ever fished the 1 fishery (sharpley springs)
