Last year the weather forecasters said we would have a barbecue summer, they sure got that one right didn't they?

When it comes to the weather I believe the evidence of my own eyes and nothing else, the so called experts get it wrong too often. If they are right this time at least we may get decent water levels in the rivers.

Last season I kept a check on the barometric pressure to see if it did actually effect the fishing, I also kept a check on the phases of the moon, having read an article on the interweb.

My conclusions were that, they bore no relation whatsoever to trout rising or feeding.

Fish will feed in anything so long as it's prolonged. It's swift or dramatic changes they're averse to.
