Here is a wee home made gadget that you might find useful.


The screwed cup hook is attatched to a large sea snap swivel.
Screw the hook into a fence post etc and attatch the end of your fly line to the clip by its braided loop or loop to loop connection. Run off your line and give it a gently stretch. It really helps getting any memory out of the line. The swivel helps to take out any twists.
