Smile New Quay, Wales. Rivers?

Hi,

Going away for a week in September and I'm wondering where I can fish on the river teifi? And for how much?

Thanks in advance

'Diawl Bach' on here is very knowledgable regards the Teifi and involved with these guys Welcome to the Teifi Trout Association - perhaps PM him?

Sure there are others as well, DB sprang to mind first.

Hi Dan, All info for the lower Teifi's on the link Toby posted, Lllandysul prices here , permits for Llanybydder FC from the mini mart on the bridge - cheaper but less water and Tregaron AA here - good lakes too.

The Afon Aeron is closer and you have Aberyswyth waters to the north, also closer than the Teifi and offering good brown trout fishing.

Thanks alot guys, I would fancy paying £10-15 a day really. So where would you recommend for this price?

Preferably river, I find it more interesting than a lake, especially if i'm going to blank!

Llanybydder's the cheapest for about 6 miles of the middle Teifi. Good fly water, less wading required than the lower beats.

In low water not such a good bet as the lower beats and generally speaking the further upstream you go the fewer migratory fish you'll meet.

Ticket prices are dear as a result of the club policy of accumulating strong reserves for purchasing major private fisheries.
