Hi Dave, take a look here :- Inveroran Hotel - The Perfect Break. http://loch-awe.com/activities/dalmally.html

The Tulla is on the Black Mount Estate, as is the top section of the river Orchy. If there is some water, fishing is usually good.

Been years since I fished it but I have to admit I did not seek a permit. I believe you can get one for Trout but not sure where. Bridge of Orchy Hotel if it is still open would be my best bet.
Trout average around 1/2 pound with some better ones around.

Don't think the hotel is still hiring boats...apparently the fishing is pretty much reserved for estate lodges.

People do chance it anyway, the advice I have heard is stay out of sight of the estate house and you are usually left to your own devices.

It has a lot of pike in it but also has trout. I am pretty sure it will have the odd salmon form the Orchy system.

There are certainly plenty of nice trout in the Orchy so have always facied giving the loch a cast.

I used to fish Tulla quite often, the keeper in the wee cottage didnae mind as long as I let him know beforehand, he is a big guy and did not take well to poachers, he just stood on their rods and waited for a reaction. To catch trout I always took his advice which was sinking line and black flies.
Billy.
