Default hanningfield tactics this weekend???

am considering going to hanningfield this weekend in a boat, saturday weather says light rain 12mph wind.........sunday weather says 22degC sunny/cloudy 9mph wind........I'm thinking intermediete or sinking lines with either buzzer/nymph/bloodworm........or is it worth fishing the bank with buzzers on a floating line and bung????......do blobs work at hanningfield??.........have been several times now and not had much success, so I'm obviously doing something wrong!!!

Also, always discuss with the rangers what is working and where - most of them are top chaps and will happily help.

Also keep an ear open on the slipway as the regulars may assist you too..........so long as they dont have spinning rods and spinners and speak Polish as they may know a thing about flies and tactics

The bubble line is often worth a try and blobs do work - very well actually and especially so early/late season.

My first line of attach were I going blind this weekend would be a slow inter or midge tip with nymphs and buzzers.

The bung method also works well and I have done well with that both on the drift and anchor

Drifting on the drogue is a better method though!

Charliea1234 always has his finger on the pulse too

Happy to share a boat with you one day on H'field as I live just up the raod and love it there

Drop me a PM anytime.

Ben

update from saturday, started at 8.30am, put on my intermediete with a gold head hares ear on the point, within an hour i had 2 fish, but only landed one......about an hour later I caught a tumping great perch which me and my dad estimate to be between 16-18 inches long, in the region of 4 pound, no camera or weighing gear, so needless to say I'm gutted as can be - lesson learned there!!!.....from about 11am onwards nothing else all day, me and dad were trying everything fly, line and tactic and moved all round the reservoir, all other boats seemed to be moving about frantically, cant say I saw too many rods bending......when we got back the ranger said a 25lb carp had peen caught!!!!
