I have just cancelled my subscription to Trout Fisherman as they have been unable to supply the Airflo line which was part of the promotion (see earlier post). The magazine has told me that Airflo have failed to supply them with the lines and they can give no idea of when, or even if, they will be able to fulfil the contract.

I also feel that, for some time now, the magazine has been too closely connected to Airflo and this brings into serious doubt that they can ever give truely impartial advice on equipment. Shame, it was a very good mag at one time but I will now purchase one of the competitors- any suggestions?

On a serious note theres trout and salmon but thats mainly salmon or it was when i bought last.

Trout and Salmon are from the same publishers and are also having difficulty supplying the lines.

I completely agree with you Jim, I've subscribed to both Trout Fisherman and T&S for a number of years and have on several occasions found that the suppliers of these promotional lines have often had problems keeping up with demand.
Your gripe regarding their ties with Airflo seem to me to also ring true, I cant count how many articles and reviews I have read in both magazines regarding airflo floating lines (all fully endorsed by the pros), only to find them a heap of s**t.
I cannot comment on the new floating lines (within the last year or so) but Airflo do manufacture some of the best sinkers on the market imo. Let's hope that some truely impartial reviews make to the publication.

i to have had the same problem with total flyfisher have been waiting on the duel lines the had on offer from may. the are waiting on the stock to arrive??? its a con false advertising in my eyes

Total FF had plenty of the lines at the fair at the weekend.

Dont be fobbed off, contact trading standards

i know they had i wrote an email last week and got reply saying that i would be sent 1 of these lines that where going to the fair it hasnt arrived yet

same here jim canceled mine last week after one magazine have been waiting since may after i was told that they didnt know if and when that i would get my line.
