tinsoldier,

They are both small stocked, albeit well stocked , waters. When I fish them I tend to fish lures eg orange fritz, black cat etc on a floating line and if no success try a sinking line although not strictly necessary as neither lochter or insch, in all there several pools are all that deep.

So saying nymphs , Diawl bachs , PTNs, buzzers will also take fish. Such stockies are very changeable, so if what you have been casting is not working, change your flies. There are no great secrets to fishing either venue.

Tight lines,

Enjoy your fishing

To be honest i dont fish any of the those waters much and found them to be average fishery's!
If you want a nice venue, fish haddo which is only 10 mins from lochter!
Iam not a small water person but as far as small waters go this place takes some beating and it even has old leven boats on it!
You wont be let down

would love to fish loads of waters up and down the country but as im a wheelchair user i got to pick waters carefully for access ,some claim good access only to turn up and theres one platform to fish from and usuually into a headwind, maybe ill compose a list of waters that has good access for the disabled angler.
