Comming from carp fishing, i tend to only fish 'my water' infront of me, thats where i set my stall out not 2 pegs down and hope nobody fishes that peg
James_m, I have already pointed out that he did nothing wrong. It's about courtesy to other anglers. We were fishing a 4 hectare water with only 3 guys on it. He delibrately came and fished there because I was catching fish, he didn't care if he spoiled my days fishing or not, it was pure selfishness.

I wasn't at that 'peg' originally cause I fish in an arc to cover the most water (when not interferring with other anglers :P), just so happened at I found the fish at an angle. I would rather using casting skills to shoot a line out 30 feet than walk round to basically place the fly on top of the fish.

Hahaha in carp angling , i would walk round the lake all day to stalk a carp out from under the rod tip Keeping low, watching it eat my freebies, before taking the hookbait and ripping line from my reel

courtesy is something we should have been brought up with from our parents, sadley, not many things are past on to the younger generation, just like the word RESPECT, this is earnt not just given, yet something else not passed on by many, sir and madam when you're being served not mate, pal, cocka and others, so, if you're of the bread that can't give courtesy(costs nothing) whenever you're on a water, be it river, small/ large still water then just stay the hell away, we don't need you, want you, nor will we put up with you and if your so desperate for a fish, don't fish their water, try asking them what they're useing and what methodi like quite a few of us will be more than happy to help, i'll even let them have one of the flies i'm useing as i have and do do, after all, i am a gentleman
