Smile Day off tomorrow, can anyone suggest a fishery please..

Hello there

Fairly new to the forum so I apologise in advance if this post is in the wrong section.

I have a day off tomorrow, and wanted to take my dad fishing somewhere, in his words "you just pick somewhere", so with that in mind can anyone suggest a fishery, Im near Warrington so somewhere within 20 miles of there.

Dont mind large fisheries or being exposed to the elements. Normally go to Meadow or Cheshire fishing so a suggestion of somewhere new would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

local fisheries are having problems at the moment with the heat and so fishing is generally poor i would try and get a bit further afield and if poss get out on a boat you will get much better fishing at the moment cheers john

John

Many thanks, if Im honest not bothered if I catch or not and neither is dad, I think that the worst days fishing is still better than a good day at work

As long as the fishing from the bank is ok as dad wont go in a boat. Thanks for your suggestion.

Hi

purpose built platforms all around the res BUT in place you have to climb over the wall?

the fish are close into the bank

they love the dry even when there not showing they will come up for a dry

badger colours workin well

take a look at there website

the food is not the cheapest but it is the best

Tell Steve or Pitt his wife to give you 2 cups of tea and put them on train driver john,s bill! ( better still talk to Alan the bayliff he will put you right )

have a good day

Going to give it a go, from what I have read on this forum even the drive over is pleasant.

May I ask if you can release fish at this fishery.

Thanks very much for your help on this.

Hi

yes its catch and release but you get 3 fish with your day ticket £20

barbless hooks or nipped down barbed hooks are fine

becareful of the EXTRA charges if you want to take fish OVER 5lb!

I had a nice 9lb fish from there on Sunday

fish the dry static and let the wind carry it all the way into the bank

cdc buzzer ( olive ) is working well and black hoppers

be sure to post your results
