Default Good flies for a washing line setup.

Am going fishing some time this week with a friend of my grandas who says that the best setup for the lake we're going to is the washing line setup but not with a booby on the pioint so what else is ther that could be used instead?

Thanks
AL

Ive been tying up some blobs with booby cord for the tail. Not had a chance to try them yet though. Its what alot of competion anglers have been using to get round the no booby rule. Or you could try a fry imitation with a foam body.

A crafty one at this time of year would be a big foam-backed beetle

Muddlers will do a job too.

Sorry to hijack the thread slightly, but when people washing line with boobies, what is a good size and colour to use?

id imagine it'd have to be something with foam because normal drys will keep getting pulled under because they wont be buoyant enough so possibly a foam post parachute or emerger or foam back water boatman

gl anyways

any size and colour depends on the day and the flies you are hanging on the washing line trial and error is the best way to find out but a good start would be a small cat booby cheers john
