Default Bison Wading Boots, sole coming off! What Glue?

My Bison Wading Boots, have taken some wear and tear, I've had them about a year! But the soles are coming away.

What is the best water resistant glue to stick the soles back on? I know about Aqua-seal and Black Witch! Is there any fail-safe positive adhesive that really works!

Thanks

Mostyn

I knew it wouldn't be long M, a month after mine.
I didn't try to repair mine, but I removed the felt completely, and have just replaced the studs into the rubber sole, they look OK and although I haven't tried them yet, I think they will work.
I am still using the Dynatracks, and gluing the soles back with Aqasure all the time.
Can't really reccomend a good adhesive to you, why not try a good cobbler.

Exactly the same happened to mine last week - will try putting the studs directly into the rubber.

Me too - studs in to the rubber sole - or break out the new Orvis Henry Forks!

From personal experience trying to re-glue a large section of felt back on (or re-felting the whole boot bottom) is problematical at best. Take them/it to a shoe repair man and have him do the job properly.
Just my .02 cents.

Did mine with Araldite instant about a month ago. Seem to be holding out pretty well so far.

Unibond "Repair Extreme" is brill!

"High resistance to shocks, impact, water and extreme temperature conditions means Unibond Repair Extreme solves difficult bonding problems."

I mainly use it for coating whipping on braided loops, its flexible. Have also used to repair a sole on a boot very successful so far after several months. Most impressive result though was using it to glue my whole wing mirror back to its bracket 2 months ago. All the pounding and vibration it recieves and still solid as a rock!

I think its £4.99 a tube, get mine from Wilkinsons.

Just for you Mostyn, I went fishing tonight in the old Bisons with just studs in, felt now completely removed.
They were fine I am glad to report, didn't seem any more slippy than before, and the Eden is a slippy boulder strewn river.
Hopefully they will do another season.
I just had three studs on the toe, and three on the heel, for climbing out of the river and grass walking.
Try it you will be pleasantly surprised, far too good to chuck away yet.
S.
PS if you wanted to add a bit of tread to the soles, you can easily use a rasp type file and score a few diamond shapes on them.
