Default Best weather for fishing?

Hi

Just getting back into it and was thinking of going tomorrow (Mon). Local weather says may start with showers but then clear (north west area). I've had best results before on overcast or cold days. Whats the concensus on my planned trip tomorrow. A goer or not?

opinions welcome

About the only thing weather wise that puts me off fly fishing is wind. I never have a good day when it is really windy. I love rain, get by just fine with full sun, and everything in between. When a storm is on its way the fish are often going crazy. After a storm passes they usually shut down for a day.

Thanks
Rick

Back now

2 rainbows just about to be gutted, 1 2lb the other 2 ,12.

Was a hard days fishing, only caught these in the last hour, thank god. Did have one more but just as I was bringing it in it shook the hook out

Also one of them had another hook in that had snapped the line/knot. Wonder how long that had been in?

There was only one other fly fisherman there ALL DAY. He said it's probably because its fishing bad there. He was only there as he had bought a reel off them and wanted to try it there and then, nice chap actually. He had 1 out that I saw.

Anyway I'm home with a smile on my face and feel like I've had a good day. Nice healthy trout for supper
