Scooby,

Go for a 4" version, you can drill a 13mm hole in one of the angled ends, or both, and you can use carbiners to attatch your drogue to them.

A drilled hole is ideal to attatch carbiners to, instead of relying on a knotted loop, you can attatch the drogue rope to the carabiner, and clip it onto your drogue via the drilled hole.

I usualy just tie it to the boat seat or another suitable anchor point and i have never had any problems.

I dont think i would like the thought of punters putting G clamps on our boats.
You will allways get some idiot with a touch like a elephant who will tighten up too much and wreck the gunnels.

Gunnell wrecker here - I just carry 4 x 6" at all times . With nice big turnscrews so I can put yet more pressure on them gunnells !

Oddly I fit 2 x Carabiners as standard on all the Paradrogue types I supply so if you want a couple let me know - they're about £1 each ! ( Carabiners , not drogues , that is ! )

Best wishes

Steve Parton
