i have a greys grxi 7/8 9 foot 6 and have a wf7f line and also a wf8f i am a beginner what line would be best for me to use.

Try both of them 8wt should be better in windy conditions but then the 7wt should be ok as well I use all 8wt lines and am find them easy enough to cast even with my rubbish casting but am going to get some 7wts to try them out.

Both will be fine.and will cause no damage to the rod.my preferance would be the 7#
